Car from Nice Airport
Hertz, Eurocar and Avis are all situated across the road from the main terminal.
A short walk between the two car parks will bring you to the new car rental building.
A very short drive out of the airport will bring you to the A8 motorway.
Although you do get many trucks using this stretch, you will find that your drive will be easy and pleasurable.
Please note that there are a few toll booths on route, therefore it would be useful to have some Euros, from a previous trip, to hand. As per all toll booths, you will have the choice of paying an attendant, using credit cards or exact change bins.
You have two options when leaving the motorway:
(a) Leave the A8 at Junction 36. Follow the signs for Sainte Maxime (D25).
Keep going, eventually picking up the signs for the town centre.
The road will lead to Casa Del Mar.
(b) Recommended – This route is much more scenic, following the
coast road right into Sainte Maxime.
Leave the A8 at Junction 38, through the toll onto the D37.
Over a number of roundabouts until you reach the railway bridge.
Go under the railway bridge and you will see signs for Sainte Maxime.
Following these signs will lead you onto the N98. The N98 is the coast road.
When at Sainte Maxime, drive past the port. On your left you’ll see
a carousel. Turn right, then left. This will lead you to the Casa Del Mar
complex.
Train/Bus from Nice Airport
We generally fly into Terminal 1. Come out of the Terminal and in front of you’ll see all the coaches.
Turn right out of the door, there should be an English speaking ticket office about 20 yards away. Simply ask there.
If you arrive at Terminal 2 you need to get to Terminal 1. There’s a free shuttle service right outside the main doors.
Take the bus to Nice train station (20mins bus ride) then take the train to St Raphael. (English speaking).
At Saint Raphael there are both English or French speaking ticket booths, which are clearly marked.
From there take the coach all the way to Sainte Maxime.
Sit on the left hand side of the coach to ensure you get a sea view on route.
